Teaneck Creek Conservancy celebrates Native-American Heritage Month in partnership with the Puffin Cultural forum and the Ramapough Conservancy. Event features a screening of award-winning film, "American Native." The Film tells the story of the struggles of the Ramapough Lenape Nation, indgenous people only 30 miles from New York City.
3:00 PM Lunaape Language Class with Karen Mosko
4:00 PM Exhibition Opening - "Native" with artwork by Jack Crying Raven and oher participating artists
4:30 PM "American Native" Screening followed by panel discussion with Judith Sullivan, Founder of the Ramapough Conservancy and Jan Barry, investigative journalist and Rampo College professor.
FREE EVENT: Funding provided by a history grant from the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
