7:00 to 7:30 Annual Meeting: Summary of2016 activities; election of officers for 2017.
7:30 to 8:30: Our speaker will be Edward Goodell, Executive Director of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference. He will be speaking on “Urban Trails.” Teaneck has two urban trails: the Hackensack River Greenway and the Teaneck Creek Conservancy. There are many urban trails in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, including ones that run along the perimeter of Manhattan Island.
The Friends of the Greenway is a member of the NY/NJ Trail Conference. We have used its expertise to help us create three loop trails for local walkers of the Greenway, to help us in our plans to build an ADA trail, and to find a trail construction company to build our trail.
