The award winning eco-music ensemble, Englewinds, celebrates their 25th season with a performance at the Puffin Cultural Forum where they first began back in 1998. Led by director Sarah Davol, the ensemble will perform a selection of music that reflects on the recent wetland reclamation of the Teaneck Creek Conservancy, and the natural process of percolation (the process by which water moves downward through the soil under gravitational forces). The program includes “Four Seasons” by Vivaldi, the world premiere of “The Discovery of Honey” by Marilyn Bliss, “Percolation” by Sarah Davol, and additional pieces by Bill Evans, Greg Rossetti, and Edward MacDowell.
There will be a presentation on the wetland reclamation of the Teaneck Creek Conservancy and what residents can do to help prevent flooding in our town and county.
The Englewinds ensemble features Sarah Davol on the oboe, Marcia Hankle on the flute, Mitch Kriegler on the clarinet, R. J. Kelley on the horn, and Atsuko Sato on the bassoon.
PLEASE NOTE: N95 or equivalent masks required. Limited quantity will be available at the door for those without one.
