Eco Book Club: The Language of Trees: A Rewilding of Literature and Landscape by Katie Holten

  • Teaneck Creek Conservancy 20 Puffin Way Teaneck United States (map)

Due to upcoming renovations at Teaneck Library, the Eco Book Club will be held at Teaneck Creek Conservancy at 20 Puffin Way in Teaneck.

Katie Holten's “The Language of Trees” is a visually striking exploration of the natural world, where art and language converge. Holten creates a unique "tree alphabet" to reimagine how we connect with trees and the environment. Through stunning illustrations and personal reflections, she invites readers to see trees not just as living beings, but as active participants in the world around us.

The book encourages a deeper connection with nature and fosters a renewed appreciation for the ecological importance of trees. By blending visual storytelling with a focus on environmental consciousness, Holten offers a fresh perspective on how we might communicate with and understand the natural world. *The Language of Trees* is both an artistic and poetic meditation on the beauty and fragility of trees.
