Learn why these fascinating nocturnal mammals are being protected worldwide due to their environmental importance. Find out why bat numbers are in critical decline nationally due to the dreaded WHITE NOSE SYNDROME, persecution and habitat loss, and learn what we can do to help! See live bats from The Wildlife Conservation and Education Center in Garfield and then join us outside for a nighttime walk to watch NJ bats dine on up to 1,000 mosquitos EACH per hour! Learn about bat houses and how to have your own natural pest controllers in your back yard.
